Miscellaneous Jan pics

Katie in some of her styling clothes. OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH, AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

The girls decided they wanted rollers in their hair so we pulled it out of deep storage & tried it out. It was awesome, except they got rained on on the way into church, so it was a lot of effort, for a quick fizzle. Oh well!

Mackenzie is our workhorse. She loves to clean & help out (I know, where did she get the cleaning bug from, obviously NOT from her mother! She really wanted to help vacuum the floor even though it weighs as much as she does!

This is Kennedy's new book shelf. We have been keeping the furniture outlet place in business!

Mackenzie's name thing-I will have to try to attempt to repaint it when I get her quilt done (if I get her quilt done) Unless Kalynn wants to do it for me!!!!! (HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT)
Mackenzie's wooden shoes & her wall decorations. Again, the pink & green are going to look awesome once I finish her quilt. (Sigh)

Mackenzie has Precious Moments figurines that she totally loves, so we decided to put them on a shelf where she can see them. Right over her desk. She usually wakes up early in the morning & writes in her "journal" at her desk. It's so cute!

Katie fixed Mackenzie's hair today. I call it the Emma Smith style. Cute eh?

One of those "Take my picture Mom!"

Another one of those, "Take my picture Mom" pics.

Kennedy is so stylish now. We got her hair cut and she had to get the "swing bangs" that are in right now. All I care about is that now I can actually get a brush through her hair!!!

Scoliosis

Well, Katie had quite the eventful 13 year old "Well Child Visit" to the doctor. Poor girl figured it would be just normal, but she ended up getting a meningitis vaccine, flu shot, & Hep A shot plus the doctor sent her over for x-rays to check her back because it looked curved. The upshot is that she got referred to the scoliosis clinic who says she has a 17% curve in her spine. At this point they will just check her again in 6 months to see if its changed. At 25% they use a back brace, at 50% they do surgery. They don't know what causes it, but right around puberty is when it can really go out of whack. Oh, she also has 1 leg 1/2 inch shorter than the other than is contributing, but since she is growing, that may even out. So lucky, lucky Katie. Don't you just love those "well child visits???" The very sad thing is that they had a scoliosis check at her school the week after her doctor visit & didn't find anything. I am so glad they paid that person to come in (NOT) So that is the latest with Katie.

Dead Man Walking

We are finally back online!!!! I have a computer!!!!! I have been here since Halloween with no access to the outside world. No TV, no Computer, no Nothing. Drew has been a dead man walking for quite some time because I can't do this no contact with the world thing. But I am ecstatic to say that I won't need to be killing him now because I FINALLY have my computer up and running. Woo Hoo, YeeHaw, Whoopdeedoo, Yipee Kiyay and all that Jazz.

Ringing in the New Year

We went to our friends the Palmatiers for New Years Eve. We always have tons of fun together.Apparently I insulted their manliness when I pointed our that they were standing 50 feet away from a teeny little flame in the picture below which is why John is holding up the lit fireworks thingy in the picture above!!!!

Fireworks for New Years must be a Utah thing, but the girls really liked it!!!
Nicole toasting in the New Year. (With Sparkling Cider)
The kids.
Elizabeth and Kennedy.

Oh Joy. This has to be one of my most favorite pictures of all times. John, I think we may put this on our Christmas wrapping paper next year. Because who can get enough of those faces???

Mackenzie relaxing for the movie. We watched Eagle Eye. It's a good movie. She gave up 20 minutes into it & went to watch a Barbie movie upstairs.

Beauti-licious

Here are some misc pics of the girls over Christmas break.

We went to Build a Bear to use the gift cards from Grammy K. It was so crowded you couldn't even get in the door. So we went back the next day before it opened so we could be first in line. Mackenzie bought a bunny & Kennedy got a Christmas Moose.

Kennedy in a dress from Grammy K.
Kenzie in her fancy dress from G & G Smed.
Katie in her sweater from Santa & boots that she bought with Christmas money.
Katie & her friend bundled up to go play in the snow. We had to scrounge around the house to come up with warm stuff for them to wear!
This is the extent of our decorating so far. We got our family pictures up on the wall & the clock hung.

First Snowman of the Season

I love it when the girls build be a snowman. We used our awesome snowman kit again & the girls worked together to make this big snowman.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was fun. Mackenzie had asked Santa for the Pee Baby & that's what she got. She was so excited. All 3 girls were pretty excited by what they got.
This is actually called Baby Alive, but Mackenzie prefers Pee Baby.
Katie got clothes from Santa. She is into Elmo right now & she got 2 Elmo shirts.

Kennedy got Littlest Pet Shop stuff from Santa.
Katie modeling her clothes from Santa.
This was not technically for Christmas, but it was near Christmas that we got it. This house's coat closet holds about 3 coats so Drew found this awesome armoire on sale from $1800 for $215. It fits all of our coats. Plus it's pretty! Score!
This is Katie's bag from Aunt Kalynn. She is already taking it to school with her books in it.

Katie got these for everyone. They are weird reindeer with suckers for tongues. What more can I say???
Christmas morning breakfast. Blueberry bread pudding.
Katie got more cool Pirates of the Carribbean stuff from Uncle Brad. This time a DVD player. It's perfect. She loves it.
The girls got wooden shoes from me & Drew. I got them before we left Michigan.

Uncle Brad got Kennedy an IPOD for Christmas. If the neighbors weren't awake yet, they were after she opened this!!!! Thanks Uncle Brad.
Kennedy got the Twilight CD for Katie for Christmas. Katie is completely obsessed with Twilight & had read it approximately 42 times.
My gift to Drew.
