Christmas Shenanigans

Okay, so this is a ton of pictures, but we had a fun Christmas and I wanted to share! So enjoy! Christmas Eve at Grandma & Grandpa Smedley's house.

Drew swinging Hyrum around.

Drew with the infamous "Kipper Snacks". It's a family tradition of eating smelly, fishy stuff on a cracker with cheese. Yum. The girls were all brave enough to try it. Kennedy even liked it. Go figure.

Katie in her Christmas outfit for school. Her and her friends dressed up like presents.

We did a white elephant gift exchange & Grandpa ended up with a Hannah Montana poster. He graciously passed it on to Hannah since she was so jealous.

The cape I made for Hannah for Christmas. She loved Mackenzie's so much at Halloween that I decided to make her a matching one.

Mackenzie's white elephant gift, a flashing Rudolph nose. She loved it.

Kennedy got a zipper bag for white elephant. It a giant zipper that unzips ALL THE WAY. She thinks it's about the coolest thing ever.

Mackenzie got a "laptop" from Santa. She wanted one like a real computer.

Kennedy got a microscope/ telescope from Santa.

Mackenzie being cool on her new scooter. She only gets to ride it inside for awhile and then sadly (for her) I am kicking it to the garage.

Santa brought Katie a new I-pod. Thrilled is putting it mildly.

The girls Christmas jammies, made by Yours Truly. The bottoms. I ran out of time and bought the tops. I made a pair for me, but you will not be seeing them on the blog anytime soon. Or ever.

Thanks Uncle Brad for the New Moon bag. She loves it.

Kennedy loves the Sing It Uncle Brad, so thanks from her too.

Mackenzie's new Webkinz. She named it Peppermint.

Katie and the bag I made for her.

Kennedy: Hat from Katie, dolls from Grandma Knivila. She named the twins Jacob and Bella.

Mackenzie got a new Build a Bear and baby.

The bag I made for Mackenzie.

Drew opening one of his 12 movies. If he would just get a hobby already he might get something besides socks and movies for every Christmas and birthday.......

I got a Snuggie. Which is actually keeping me quite toasty as I sit here updating the blog.

Katie doing her version of the Snuggie commercial. Yep, we like to do strange things like that.

Mackenzie had to go right out and try out her new shovel from Santa. She has been wanting one her size for quite awhile now. She's a shoveling fiend now.

The big hit of Christmas? HULA HOOP. She can do just about anything while hula hooping. She actually started hooping on her neck, dropped it to her waist and then jumped into the splits while hula hooping. Talent. We have it in spades.

Hat from Katie, sweater from Grammy K, purse made by mom, watch from Mackenzie. Put it all together, it equals spoiled rotten.

Thank you Aunt Kalynn (and everyone else) for the tote bags for the girls, they love them!!!

And thanks Aunt Stacie, Steve and Adam for these gifts. Again: they love 'em.

Thanks Jamie & Kalynn, Elise, Logan and Hunter for the FHE chart. We can't wait to hang it up, it's gonna be great!

Thanks Stacie, we love the picture board, it's awesome!

So Katie saw this somewhere last April and Grandma & Grandpa Smedley bought it then for her and shockingly, didn't lose it between then and Christmas (I am speaking in a shocked tone for the Knivila side, who is known for losing things and finding them years later). It's a funny pillow and she was so surprised when she opened it!

Grandma & Grandpa Smedley got Katie a candle. However, Katie has a fear of open flame (?) so they got her fake candles. Awww, that's so sweet!

Um, okay. I am going to suck it up here and admit that I don't remember who these are from, so I don't know who to thank :( But they love them, so thanks muchly!

Mackenzie has been upset that Kennedy has a fur coat to wear to church and she doesn't so Grandma and Grandpa S got her one for Christmas. She loves it. She also loves to hula hoop while wearing it. Surprise, surprise.

Christmas day G & G Smed came over for dinner/ present opening/ and little game playing. We now have Apples to Apples & Apples to Apples Disney version. Both very fun. Our new favorite games actually.

My girl is truly talented. She can hold 2 stuffed animals & drink water while hula hooping. I tell you the Hula Hoop is the best thing ever!
