Laid Back

We could all take lessons on being laid back from our snowman.......

That Last Snowstorm of the Year Photo Op

Everyone always gets so upset by that last snowstorm of the year. The one that hits right when you think spring is finally on its way. However I know that there is ALWAYS one last snowstorm before my birthday. So I don't sweat it.

Honestly, I was really excited about this one because it was the perfect packing snow so I could get some snowman pictures. Pathetically I told the girls one of their chores this week was to build me a snowman! They got to skip dishwasher duty to do them. But aren't they just so cute?

8th Grade Basketball

Katie decided to try out for the basketball team this year. She worked really hard and improved a ton over the season. Since the last time she played basketball was in about 3rd grade I was impressed that she wanted to play! Their team didn't win alot of games, but she wants to play again next year at the high school. Go Team!

More Miscelleousness

Katie got to go to the next level of the middle school science fair at UVU with her project on the difference between and compass and a GPS. Drew got volunteered to judge the science fair. Katie isn't moving up another level, but we were really proud of her that she made it this far.

Mackenzie has been wanting bangs forever. So finally I caved at this last haircut appt and let her get "sweep bangs" like Katie. She thinks they are the coolest thing ever.

Mackenzie invited me to school for Moms and Muffins. They did a short program for us and then we ate muffins and read books. It was fun.

Kennedy got a cookie bouquet from her teacher for Valentine's Day this year. We put it in a vase to enjoy for awhile.

The neighbors made Katie cupcakes and wrote her this note to her after I forced her to wear BOOTS to SCHOOL in the SNOW. Someday she can tell Oprah or somebody all about it......

Kennedy's class did a readers theater and I went to watch their play. It was really cute.

The Tooth.

Kennedy's poster for her most recent book report.

Misc Jan/Feb

Since I have gotten behind on updating the blog lately, here are a few highlights of Jan and Feb. I co-chaired the Book Fair in February and I offered to do the posters. They turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. Even with all of the "help" I got from Mackenzie.
Mackenzie lost another tooth. My baby is growing up. I have told her to stop it, but she just doesn't listen.

I am posting these in a separate post about Katie's basketball. I am not sure how I managed to upload them twice......

Katie had too much homework to make it to YW one week near Valentines, so they posted a "Heart Attack" on our door for her.

Mackenzie. 6, going on 25.

I found this way awesome coat for Mackenzie at Old Navy for $10! It's so cute and she loves it!

Fancy hair for dance. We took 5 of our flowers that we have made and clipped them around her bun. We are Fancy Schmancy.

Mackenzie on her way to her first piano lesson. She is so excited to finally take piano lessons. At least she is excited until I make her practice.....
