Halloweenery

Here are pictures of our Halloween fun. We went trick or treating with Adam & Stacie/ Mindy & Mike & Hyrum & Hannah. It's fun to have the cousins get together and do fun stuff like that. Katie went to a friends house.

I made the girls costumes this year. It was alot of work &I'm not quite sure when I went insane and decided that making costumes was a good idea. Oh well. They can wear them for the next 40 years.....

Katie wore this to school for her costume. Instead of the costume I spent hours on. Yeah. Not happy.

Mackenzie told everyone she was Felicity the American Girl.

For dance class the girls dressed up like this. Katie did a school uniform (Kennedy actually wears this to school minus the tie) I tried to do the big hair & 80's look for Kennedy.

This is one of my favorite cakes from cake decorating class. Even though my ghosts look like amoebas. I liked spraying it black. I need one of those air compressor thingies.

Drew's Birthday #39!!!!!!

Drew did not get a fancy cake for his birthday because he requested German Chocolate Cake. But we did make it a little funny for him!

Changing Schools

Mackenzie has been on the waiting list to get into the charter school next door since August. I had given up hope & figured we would try again next year. I was fine with that because Mackenzie had such an excellent teacher that really loves kids & Mackenzie loves her. But then I got a call that she had gotten in. It was a hard decision, but I wanted them to have the same vacation schedules so we moved her. She was excited to wear the uniform (go figure) and walk with her sisters, but she does miss her friends and her teacher from Saratoga Shores. I hope this will be a good choice for her. I got a class picture on Mackenzie's last day. Mackenzie's teacher yelled at me that I couldn't take Mackenzie away! She got all teary eyed saying goodbye to her. In fact she stopped by our house to deliver Mackenzie's pictures & last book order just so she could say hi to Mackenzie. We are really gonna miss Mrs Geddes.

First day of school at Lakeview. She loves her new clothes. I am thinking she is going to get bored with them real quick, but for now she is loving it.

Apple Picking

One of the things we miss most about Michigan is the U-Pick varieties. We miss picking blueberries every summer & apples in the fall. I did manage to find a small orchard by Craig & Karol's house for us to pick apples. They don't have the 37 different varieties like in Michigan, but at least we got to pick some apples! We are gonna have some yummy apple pies over the winter!
