I am so happy to have a blog to complain to everyone I know about the severely rotten 2 days I have had. Yesterday I dropped Kennedy off at school and as usual, the principal had to hold her back while I ran for the car. Getting seriously tired of this already. Then I was supposed to have lunch with her. I forgot. Then I was late picking her up from school. Obviously she was mad. While I am driving to pick her up I get a call from Katie. I am supposed to be at her school that day for a conference with her school advisor & I had it written down for tomorrow. So she was mad at me. Then I get Mackenzie ready for soccer. We go racing out the door because I naturally have forgotten until just then that we are supposed to take the treat that day. We go get donuts that the people tried to charge me $12.00 for when they were supposed to be $5.99 a dozen. We pay for the donuts, rush to the soccer field and can't find her team. I call my mother in law to look at the schedule for me and figure out what's the deal. The deal is, we are an hour early. So we are at the soccer field for 2 hours. At 7:30pm I take Mackenzie to the drive in to get some dinner. On our way home, the gas light goes on so we have to make a detour for gas. Then, while I am getting the kids ready for bed, Drew calls. I am irritated because he did not answer the phone the 42 times I called to complain about my rotten day. So I refuse to talk to him. Today I am exceptionally glad that I did not answer the phone because he calls me at 8:30 this morning to let me know that our loan for our house was not approved. That's right folks. NOT APPROVED. So the bad dreams I have had lately of living in the dumpster behind McDonalds is not so far fetched after all. OH, by the way, the house we ended up attempting to buy is NOT the one I made an offer on that day Drew didn't answer his phone. We went back to the short-sale house because it was more affordable. But apparently not affordable enough. So now that I have solved the drought problem here in Utah after my 5 hours of bawling my head off this morning. But Drew just called and said that our realtor has a lender that will approve our loan. So Saturday morning we are meeting with them to see if we can get a house or have to go dumpster diving. That's all folks. That's the news here in Utah folks. Stay tuned for more, As The Smedley's Turn.

Do this slowly. Breath in...Breath out...Breath in...Breath out...Breath in... Breath out...
Do you feel better yet? Just remember that the house you were in was too small. Drew will be home more often soon, and things will turn out just fine. You WILL find a house and wonderful friends. It just takes time. It doesn't seem like things are going to turn around, but I promise that they will.
I almost did a blog very similar to this today. It's just been one of those months. I am feeling your pain in different ways, but still feeling it. We'll be thinking about you & praying for you & sending happy thoughts & blah, blah, blah. Vent all you want! We're always here to listen!!!
