Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was fun. Mackenzie had asked Santa for the Pee Baby & that's what she got. She was so excited. All 3 girls were pretty excited by what they got.
This is actually called Baby Alive, but Mackenzie prefers Pee Baby.
Katie got clothes from Santa. She is into Elmo right now & she got 2 Elmo shirts.

Kennedy got Littlest Pet Shop stuff from Santa.
Katie modeling her clothes from Santa.
This was not technically for Christmas, but it was near Christmas that we got it. This house's coat closet holds about 3 coats so Drew found this awesome armoire on sale from $1800 for $215. It fits all of our coats. Plus it's pretty! Score!
This is Katie's bag from Aunt Kalynn. She is already taking it to school with her books in it.

Katie got these for everyone. They are weird reindeer with suckers for tongues. What more can I say???
Christmas morning breakfast. Blueberry bread pudding.
Katie got more cool Pirates of the Carribbean stuff from Uncle Brad. This time a DVD player. It's perfect. She loves it.
The girls got wooden shoes from me & Drew. I got them before we left Michigan.

Uncle Brad got Kennedy an IPOD for Christmas. If the neighbors weren't awake yet, they were after she opened this!!!! Thanks Uncle Brad.
Kennedy got the Twilight CD for Katie for Christmas. Katie is completely obsessed with Twilight & had read it approximately 42 times.
My gift to Drew.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve did not go quite like I had planned. Drew was home from work 45 minutes when he got a call from work that the nurse on duty had the flu & was throwing up and had to go home. So yippee skippee. Naturally everyone jumped at the chance to come in and work on Christmas Eve (NOT) so he dropped us off at Craig & Karol's & went in to work. So he missed our Christmas Eve dinner. Then C & K went in to work so he could come eat & we did our Christmas Eve Program without them. Yeah. So not what we had planned. I think everyone gets the gist of how I feel about Christmas Eve, so I'll just let you get on with looking at the pictures. This is actually not Christmas Eve, it's from our family get-together dinner that we have once a month with Drew's Aunt, Uncle, cousin, Bailey, Craig & Karol & Mindy's family. We had a white elephant gift exchange & the girls are modeling the fancy bows from the packages.
Christmas dresses.

Mackenzie got a fancy dress from G & G Smed.
Thanks Aunt Kalynn for the awesome purses. We love them & carry them everywhere!!!!
Mackenzie loves her purse too!!!!
Hyrum with the little blanket we tied for him for Christmas.
Man, isn't he just so cute???
Grandpa played a couple of songs for us on the accordion.

Hannah helping Mackenzie sing Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer for her part of the program.

Mike & Mindy & Co singing a Christmas song.
Kennedy sang the the song I'm Wishing on a Star from the Polar Express for her part of the program.
At Craig & Karol's house, everyone picks their favorite food for Christmas Eve & that's what we have for dinner. Kennedy chose chocolate molten lava cakes & I made them super fancy with raspberries on top. YUUUUUMMMMMYYYYY!

Hannah & Mackenzie found the glitter again. Look close & you can see it's about an inch thick on their cheeks!

Katie's birthday party

Oops, I almost missed putting up the pictures from her birthday party. Somehow we got suckered into letting her have 6 friends sleep over. Although, for there being 7 giggling girls in the basement, it wasn't that loud. Go figure.

Katie & her friends decided on a Barbie theme for her party. I made the lovely cake. Almost as good as Amy Parkers (NOT). Oh well. At least she got a cake.

O Christmas Tree

Putting up the Christmas tree was fun, once we found it. It takes up most of the room once we got it up!

Miscellania

This was to prove to Drew that it is not all in my head, it really is freezing in our bedroom when we get up. Just like Iceland in our room. I am blogging it so he will feel guilty enough to finally go get a space heater!!!!!
This is the Lehi Roller Mills lit up for Christmas. For those of you who don't know, it's where they filmed the movie Footloose.

Mackenzie is reading books all the time now. She loves books. Which is a good thing, since we have so many of them.
All I have to say about this pictures is.... What a goofball!!!

Live Nativity

We went to a live nativity with Kennedy & Mackenzie that was sooooo cool. (Katie was at YW) We got to ride to it in a horse trailer, hike up a hill & walk thru a barn that had all kinds of stalls set up like you were walking through Bethlehem. They even had a real camel to pet! This roman soldier was riding his ginormous horse around asking if anyone had seen the baby Jesus.
They had a real baby for the baby Jesus.

Kenzie with the camel.

Petting a goat.
Kennedy always gets the animals to smile with her for her pictures. I don't know how she does it!!!

An Official Teenager

Katie is now an official teenager. Yikes. I don't know what to say except, YIKES! For her birthday she has been wanting to get highlights. Since Drew & I could not think of anything better to get her, we decided to get her highlights. So I totally surprised her by saying "GET IN THE CAR NOW" then we drove to Provo to a cosmetology school. However, she surprised me by wanting PURPLE highlights instead of blonde. Many people have shook their heads in shock over my decision to let her do purple (Drew being one of them) but if this is her big teenage rebellion thing, then who cares, it's purple stripes. No biggie. Plus she loves them & they are something that someday she will look at pictures of and say WHAT WAS I THINKING. So it's all good.
